Accounting Manager
Accounting Manager – Salary range $50,000 – $70,000
Job Description:
The Accounting Manager plays a pivotal role at the Mental Health Association of East Tennessee by managing the essential accounting and fiscal functions required to support the growing and thriving non-profit organization. The Accounting Manager will oversee all day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and other resource functions of the Organization.
This position requires expertise in bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll. The preferred candidate will possess expertise in these areas:
- Strong accounting background
- Annual budgeting
- Program budgeting & revisions
- Accounts receivable
- Accounts payable
- Invoicing
- Payroll processing
- Payroll taxes and quarterly reports
Routine tasks
- Budget development (agency annual & programs)
- Monthly accounting
- Posting accounts receivable & payable
- Grant invoicing
- Payroll (PT & FT)
- Monthly / quarterly reporting
- Auditor support
- Duties as assigned by the CEO and Board of Directors
This position is full time and can be an on-site or hybrid position.
This position reports directly to the CEO and supervises one part time Finance Assistant.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting preferred)
- Proficient in Excel and QuickBooks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A self-starter who is organized and detail oriented
- Able to work autonomously to accurately complete tasks and oversee workload in a timely manner
